Extra curricular

As a school we are dedicated to helping students to discover and pursue their passions and to develop skills and interests in and out of the classroom. Our extra-curricular activities are aimed at students of all ages, after class. These activities are offered at an affordable price throughout the year. The activities content is closely monitored and reviewed every year, with the objective to maintain a high quality level.
We offer chess, taekwondo, swimming, gymnastics,  music, drama, baking and extra support in Mathematics, Portuguese and English.

Away from the classroom, it’s a good opportunity for them to mix with likeminded children in something they all enjoy. This gives them a chance to develop their social skills, meet new friends and become more confident communicating in groups.

Extra curricular activities can also aid in the development of self-esteem and confidence. It is gratifying when we succeed in something we enjoy, especially after working hard to achieve it. Good self-esteem is an essential tool for positive mental health and wellbeing.

Note: Sports such as soccer, hand ball, tennis, basket ball, volleyball and athletics are part of Physical Education or  PSPE which is a compulsory discipline for both Middle Years and PYP.
